Over the last few years Fit 4 Force has trained many individuals. Each new client has a different reason for training with us, we have people who want to lose weight, improve their current fitness levels and train for specific events from 10K runs, half marathons and training for preparation for the forces.

Many people come to us saying they are unfit, can’t run or do a press up. Our reply is you come to improve so we don’t expect athletes turning up to their first session!

Over a small period of time people have gone from doing a couple of press-ups on their knees to doing full press-ups in double figures! It makes us feel like proud parents 🙂

I started running with my local running club just over 3 years ago.  I started progressing well but found that after a year or so I seemed to plateau with my overall performance.  I spoke with Andrea about this and she advised that some sort of resistance or high intensity training would be beneficial, and so I started boot camp training with Fit 4 Force.  I was astonished at how quickly I started to notice a difference; my body shape changed and I became more toned all over, my running speed improved and I noticed a massive improvement in my overall endurance whilst running.

Andrea’s classes are inclusive of all ages and fitness levels, and there are always variations on each activity to cater for different levels of performance and ability.  Andrea’s wicked sense of humour makes the classes fun and enjoyable, but at the same time providing a good workout for everyone.  Every class is different and you never know what to expect, but one constant is that you always know you’ve worked hard at the end!!  I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a change from their current training routine, or wants to start exercising.

I started at Fit4Force over 7 years ago having been a serial failed gym member. Before the first session I was rather apprehensive as I wasn’t sure what to expect but the apprehension soon evaporated with the sweat as we were put through our paces!

The sessions are fun, always different and work different body parts with us working on all aspects of strength & conditioning. There are always different intensity options so if you are unfit or have a minor injury (or are hungover or have had a bad day), you can go easy and gradually build your fitness to a higher level. As it’s a group activity there is always plenty of encouragement, lots of competition but mainly lots of fun……and usually burpees!

I have been going to Andrea’s classes almost from the start over 8 years ago. Her classes are for all ages and abilities. You work at your own pace or push yourself out of your comfort zone or “MAX IT OUT” as Andrea says.

The classes are never boring and Andrea is very approachable and encouraging. I tend to go mainly to the Boxing bootcamp on a Wednesday which I love!

Now I am the other side of 55 and I am fitter than when I was in my 20’s and 30’s.

I know that attending the classes has made me stronger both physically and mentally and has enabled me to take on and complete some amazing challenges.

I joined fit 4 force in August 2014 after a few years in the exercise wilderness.  I’d got unfit and a bit porky after too many corporate dinners and I decided I should do something about it before things got completely out of hand.  I bumped into Andrea at Mirfield Show and immediately joined up.  The other bootcampers were very welcoming.  We had a laugh right from the start ! The first sessions were very tough after a long layoff and I couldn’t even walk downstairs without holding on to the handrails at work for a good while (that felt good though).  After a few weeks I started to get fitter, stronger and ….. thinner!

I must have done about 500 bootcamps now and I am still enjoying the sessions!  I’ve done a half marathon and can sprint like I did in my 20’s.  It’s turned back the body clock and it feels great!

As well as the exercise part the other ‘campers’ are great fun and we have a great laugh along the way.  You forget about the pain!  I’ve made some great friends who I can see will be friends for many years to come!

I began boot camp at Fit 4 Force in December of 2011 after living in the States for 25 years and coming home to England to look after for elderly mother. I did belong to a boot camp in the USA so I was eager to find the equivalent in England. I loved my boot camp in the USA and didn’t expect anything could top it. I was wrong. Not only are Andrea’s boot camps diverse, energetic and challenging, they are also filled with laughter and light hearted banter which creates a gentle warm atmosphere and makes everyone feel welcome. Whether you’re a newbie, or a seasoned athlete, Fit 4 Force caters to everyone.

Andrea is well qualified and her formal education in this field is extensive and forms a sound safe bedrock of feeling secure in her hands. She is motivational without being aggressive and pushes you just outside your comfort zone with kindness and compassion. The results are a stronger cardiovascular system, muscle definition and strength and an overall feeling of accomplishment and well-being

I have met some wonderful kindred spirits at Fit 4 Force and even though I am now back in the States full time, I keep in contact with some of Andrea’s clients as I consider them lifelong friends now, it has opened up a world of friendships for me.

I’ve always loved running and have done since I started when my daughter who is now 15 was 18 months old. After a few years exploring the footpaths around Mirfield I discovered my joints were no longer as they were and to my horror my knee and hip decided to tell me enough was enough!

What was I to do now, the thought of no more running was like a massive slap around the face! They say things happen for a reason, well in my case this is absolutely true. I discovered bootcamp and Andrea, I have been attending 3 times a week now for a couple of years. The difference in my body is absolutely amazing. I no longer suffer with my knee and hip and know that this is from strengthening mu core (something I knew little about 13 and half years ago – when I first put the running shoes on!) I feel much stronger within myself, fitter and certainly more confident about my body shape.

I have met lots of lovely people at the regular classes and I have found a regular exercise class that is varied, tests my body, and I can only equate to a personal training session with a group of friends! Thank you Andrea x
